Samarkand State Medical Institute

Founded in 1930, Samarkand State Medical University is situated in the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan. It stands as one of the pioneering medical institutes in Central Asia, boasting over 90 years of academic excellence in the field of medicine. The university comprises 74 departments, 1190 classrooms, and 75 multimedia classrooms, facilitating the operation of its various faculties.

Samarkand State Medical Institute (SSMI) holds institutional accreditation from the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan. Its esteemed teaching faculty includes doctors of Medical Sciences, Professors, and renowned scientists and healthcare organizers. Currently, the institute employs more than 500 faculty members and academicians, contributing to its rich academic environment.
