North Bengal Medical College (NBMC)

Situated along the picturesque banks of the River Jamuna, North Bengal Medical College (NBMC) is surrounded by lush greenery and sprawling grasslands, creating a serene ambiance. Spanning across 161 acres, the infrastructure of NB Medical College and Hospital provides ample space for academic and practical endeavors. The close proximity of the hospital to the college facilitates hands-on learning experiences for students, complementing their theoretical studies. Additionally, the campus houses the Dental College and a Training College for nursing, ensuring a comprehensive educational environment. Separate hostel accommodations for male and female students are also available within the premises of North Bengal Medical College.

Established in 2000 with the approval of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, North Bengal Medical College admits 200 students annually for its five-year MBBS program. The college also offers specialized postgraduate degrees in disciplines such as Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, General Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, among others. All academic programs at the university adhere to the standards set by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, ensuring quality education and training.
